En Été (copy)

The impressionist movement is one a personally favor much, although you won’t see many paintings of mine in this particular style. I would prefer to be described as someone who has more of an eclectic oeuvre, but the love for Pierre-Auguste Renoir runs deep. And there is also a versed tradition to copy the greats which came before to inform your own practice. So I tried my hand at “En Été (La Bohémienne)”, painted in 1868, though it is a modernized version of it, having done it in acrylic painting and tweaking some details. Further, wanting to respect the bohemian atmosphere, alterations are kept to a minimum. I hope I did it justice somewhat.
