Marvels Of The Sea

Jellyfish are marvelous creatures, aren’t they? They come in all shapes, colors and textures. One could paint jellyfish their entire lifetime and never get bored. But my motivation for this painting is antithetic. In Dutch, we have an idiom “kwal van eens mens”, which literally translates to “jellyfish of a person”, but it is used to refer to someone obnoxious or even loathsome. And I was being hindered by such a “kwal”, but later more on my story of deceit and deception…
